How To Age Yourself With Makeup

You wanna look sometime?  No!?

But it's so fun!

Okay... I'll be more specific.  Let's put on stage makeup for old age.  I promise, it's a lot of fun.

I totally freaked out my kids and married man.  The kids were watching me and saying how creepy I looked and asking me why I was doing this.  My eldest daughter wants me to practice this for Halloween.  My youngest son said no to the creepy old lady confront.  My husband jumped when I turned around.  So satisfying... I recall.

Let's do this.

Materials needed:  Highlight, Shadow, brown center liner, two modest/medium flat brushes, and ii wide flat brushes.

This kit is the 1 I used in theatre for college. It'south got everything.

Present, if yous search for Ben Nye products all you'll see is Banana powder. Stinking Kardashians.

Yous can get a smaller personal kit if y'all'd similar, instead of the full kit.

Hither I am.  Yes, that'southwardbefore the old lady makeup, you lot dirty rat.  This is me at the finish of a long day, okay. And then there!  Yep, I did stick out my tongue.  I pulled back my bangs and hair and then I could get to work. You should too.

Kickoff with a fresh, clean face.

Put on a good foundation to even out your face for a good base. If your face up is notoriously oily, I definitely recommend you lot put on a good primer first.

Moving-picture show Key:  White = Highlight  Black = Shadow

If you see a white arrow that is where you lot highlight.  If you see a blackness pointer that is where you shadow, etc.

We'll kickoff from the top of the confront to the bottom.  It's much easier this fashion, you won't smudge your makeup every bit yous work.

Also, outset with the highlights start.  Yous put in the large area of highlights, and so the shading.  Then y'all add the specific highlights in later on.  Don't worry, I'll walk you lot through it.

Brow

Get-go, we'll age it with some basics.

1. Raise your eyebrows to wrinkle your forehead upwardly.  Good.

4. Go dorsum with your shadow and draw the line a scrap darker and then gently drag your shadow directly upwardly.  Not a ton, just a little bit.  Come across the flick for clarity.
5. Take your highlight and draw a very precise line just underneath the shadow.  It needs to exist crisp.
6. Take a look and alloy where needed.  DON'T alloy your crisp highlight line.

Don't freak out!  At commencement information technology looks like chocolate-brown lines on your face up... information technology's okay.

Merely do these wrinkles where y'all actually have them.  I am blessed with few forehead wrinkles.  I accept 2 barely there ones.  I win!

Eyes

The best office!

1. First, highlight lid.
2. Take your shadow and showtime from the corner of your eye and get that eye socket shape.  Remember you're erstwhile, your eye is going to sink in a bit.
3. Then do the pucker.  I naturally take a droopy lid - it will hang downwardly when I'm an erstwhile lady, I'm sure.  This is why I accept taken my shadow and drawn it down with the natural crease of my eye lid.
4. Add shadow at forehead bone at a downwards angle to become the droop effect.
5. Subsequently I went back and put more than shadow on my lid for information technology to exist more sunken in.

Now the middle handbag.  Yay!

1. Add together shadow on your lower hat.
2. Highlight underneath it. The bodily bag area.
3. Take your highlighter and outline the exterior edge of the eye bag drawn a line.
4. Take more highlighter and alloy that line out.  It'll look like a U.
5. Have your shadow, draw the line only in a higher place the highlight line.  Blend up and in.  Make sure your bag is heavier at the corner and fades as it nears your center.  It shouldn't reach your outer eye.

• Last,  you have your brown eyeliner (or darker shadow) and draw a well-baked line at the bottom of the handbag (just above the highlight).
• Take your shading brush and blend slightly (upwards).
• Add in wrinkles (where they naturally occur) at your optics.  Crinkle your eyes to find them.
• Draw in the shadow, then add a highlight underneath!  Easy!

Nose

With one-time age your nose is bigger.  It's unfortunate, but truthful.  I'm making my nose wider and my nostrils bigger.

1. To make wider yous highlight downwardly the nose, and the whole forepart portion of the olfactory organ.
2. To brand nostrils bigger, y'all highlight those as well, all the way to the pucker where yous nose and cheeks meet.
3. Add shadow to the sides of your nose, draw a line right upward next to the highlight and blend out to the cheeks into your foundation.
4. For the nostrils, follow the natural curve, but just outside the actual crease to overstate them.

 Cheeks

1. Get-go at your nostril, follow the large crease down (if information technology's hard to detect, smiling, then follow the crease) to your rima oris.
2. In the offset picture I have a brown line crossed out.  I didn't similar the fashion it looked so I just wiped it off and stock-still it.  No sweat.  You lot can see it fixed in the second picture.
3. Depict the line and have it keep going by the mouth.  Your cheeks are going to hang real low every bit you lot become geriatric.
4. Blend that line out, it's a bit thicker than the rest of your wrinkle lines.
5. Add a highlight inside.
6. I added some to my whole cheek, composite advisedly, no difficult edge.

For an apple cheek - they'll be dainty and full.  Probably from all that cake I'll be baking as a sweet ole granny.

1.  First at the nostril and sweep out and up.
2. Blend upwards.
3. Add highlight to the middle of the cheekbone and the surrounding cheek area.  Yous just want it more than concentrated at that place.
4.  Add a low-cal glaze underneath the shadow as well.
5. Add some blush to the apples of your cheek if you lot'd like.

Lips

In old age your lips become thinner.  Boo.  To do this is simple.

1. Put foundation or highlighter over your lips.
2. On your bottom lip add a natural lip color, merely just inside your natural lip line.
3. On the superlative lip add a darker color also inside the lip line.
4. Add together contouring with some shading and highlighting to the surrounding oral fissure area.
5. Add wrinkles to your lips.  Done and done.

Jaw

• Add highlight in a scallop motion aslope your jawline (higher up the ridge). Information technology'southward like a 3, lying on its back, but three scallops, instead of 2.

• Add triangles of highlight underneath your scallop.  (See the picture show beneath)

• Take your shadow and kickoff at the top border of the bottom highlight.  Is that confusing enough?  Make it a hard edge.
• Then blend the shadow up to run across the acme scallop.  You don't want a hard edge where those 2 meet.

Before, During, and After

Now, get back and touch up anything you'd like.  Your confront may not be perfectly symmetrical, don't worry almost it.  Remember, this is phase makeup.  It's best seen at a far distance, non right upward close.  It'll still look pretty dang sweet though.
